One alert for multiple devices question.

We have APCs with an advanced alert that is sent out when the voltage gets low. I also need one to go out for our Emersons. I'm wondering about the proper any/all statement. I need the alert to be sent out if all the conditions are met of the APCs , or all the conditions of the Emerson line voltage values.

I don't think "any" would be appropriate because I want "all" to match of the main group or "all" to match of the nested condition

IT sounds like you want to use one alert for both APC and Advanced. I wrote your alert below. You have two condition groups defined, and any group can be true to trigger alert.

Add another group like below.

Trigger Alert when any of the following apply

Trigger Alert when all the following apply

Poller Name is Equal to APCupsAdvInputLineVoltage

Status is less than or equal to 100

Trigger Alert when all the following apply

Node Name is equal to RSC-IT-Emerson01

PollerName is equal to upsInputVoltage

Status is less than 400

I tried that initially and kept getting this result. The box is at the bottom "Complex condition is empty, does not contain nested conditions"

The bottom conditions aren't under the trigger group. If you look closely you will see them alligned with the main trigger.

Also, I see the new trigger alert is under the above trigger alert, this won't work also. Make sure the rules are ordered correctly. Make sure you are selecting the trigger alert when you put in "add a condition group" or "add a simple condition".

Its not just the order, but the alignment when you look at it.
