Agent based Polling

Morning,

I have just deployed the SolarWinds Agent via a GPO to apply to all our "Domain Computers" this is to allow for a secure connection from the node to the core server.

The problem is, as far as I can tell the only way to truly amend the polling method is by navigating to "Manage Agents" and adding each one to management correctly.  I know I can also do this from Manage Nodes etc.

I have 1700+ Domain Computers...that is 1700+ times I will have to manually do the above.

Is there a quicker way?

There is.

Go to Manage Nodes, change the drop down to "Polling Method" then, in the table add in the "Agent-Agent Status Message" column and order the list using this.

There you have it, all the WMI nodes with the Agents at the top.  Select all of them and multi-edit their properties, change the polling method to "Agent"

Done.

Now, if only there was a quick way to manage default resources.  SAM Beta....6.3 Hurry please
