Hi there, I'm working on moving multiple devices from SNMPv2c to SNMPv3. When I select multiple devices and click Edit Properties, I then select the Polling Method checkbox and then change the SNMP version to v3. I select the saved credentials that I'm using on all my other devices and then click submit. The page takes a bit before I get an error: "Some nodes cannot be validated with supplied credentials." - SNMP validation failed. Node was not saved to DB I'm able to move individual devices one at a time. When I go into each device, change the version to 3 and select the credentials, it passes the test on each device. I'm using the same credentials in both methods, but I absolutely cannot change the SNMP version on multiple devices at the same time. Has anyone else run into this?

Error when changing SNMP version on multiple devices

Hi there,

I'm working on moving multiple devices from SNMPv2c to SNMPv3. When I select multiple devices and click Edit Properties, I then select the Polling Method checkbox and then change the SNMP version to v3. I've had the same issue. I ended up decreasing the selection size (50% rule) until I found the offenders. Once I got past them I was able to do full selection.

I could never get a clear understanding if this was due to an earlier database corruption or not.

Yeah I tried doing that but even working with just two identical switches, it fails when changing both together, but I can turn around and change them individually without a problem.
