Installation questions

1) Can you install Orion on a server that already has the default website being used for something else?

2) The quick start guide says to log into the server as the local admin, then during the SQL setup stage, says the user account has to be a part of the dbcreator group. In my situation, I'm installing Orion on a separate server from my SQL server. How does this affect the SQL section of the quick start?

Am I just making the install harder than it has to be? I hope so, but any advice/tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, but you'll need to assign Orion to a different IP or different port--e.g., 8080

Do I really need to log on to the server locally, versus domain? I know the domain admins group is part of the local administrators, so couldn't I just log in with the domain admin account?

Domain admins are still subject to group policy restrictions, which can cause problems with the install. We recommend you use local admin to avoid that.

You can use admin based on domain grouops, but as Sky noted, you're more likely to hit permissions issues.
