Juniper SRX3600 Firewalll reporting high cpu

I was wondering if any one has run into this issue with srx3600 firewall. currently Orion NPM 10.2 is reporting the CPU to be peg at 100% and everything that is coming from MIB and OID show that it 100%. but if we log into the device dashboard it show the CPU is currently at 7%. Any Ideas why this might be happening.

Hi Andrew -

Not familiar with the kit, but it looks like NPM is either looking at a different CPU than the device dashboard or more likely aggregating the percentage use of all the CPUs it can see on the chassis. Do you have multiple modules installed on the chassis? Might be worth investigating if you can see directly the percentage usage of each of them.

I get similar results for my Cisco 6509 units - the CLI reports CPU usage at 17% whereas Orion says 49%. Doing some digging NPM seems to be counting the CPU of my FWSM module even though it's managed as a node itself by NPM.

We're seeing a similar issue with the Infoblox servers used for DNS. It also appears to be an aggregation issue.
