Monitoring switch ports

We want to monitor every port on our access switches so we don't have to worry about new server installations. All of the switches are flashing red with a down port. Is there any way to turn off the port down notifications for these switches?

You could try setting those interfaces to Unplugged. You can do this by editing the properties of an interface and tell it to show as Unplugged instead of Down.

Hello,

I relaise this is an extremely old post however i am trying to do exactly this in NPM 10.4, however i have tciked the box on the interface as suggested however the inteface is still showing as down. Does anyone have any suggestions

Did you tick the box as per this image? If yes, then you need to give it time to repoll the interface before it will show the port as being unplugged rather than down.
