I can't seem to get SNMP to work. I'm not sure what credentials to use. I've tried several credentials on the UCS and Orion doesn't recognize them.
I would like to see you posting a screen-shot of the above to look in further.
I set the SNMP credentials in the UCS and enter them in SW but the test fails. I used a web site to create an MD5 hash for the pw in the UCS and used the same hash in Orion.
Here are few things which you might want to check to see if its correctly configured.
I see that you are using SNMP v3 to add UCS to NPM.Please confirm if you have got the ones mentioned below right.
• SNMPv3 Username, Context, Authentication Method, and Password. Note: If this password is a key, check Password is a key.• SNMPv3 Privacy/Encryption Method and Password. Note: If this password is a key, check Password is a key.
At the same time could you verify if the SNMP port on the added node is not the Orion default of 161, provide the actual port number in the SNMP Port field
In case if the added node supports 64‑bit counters ,check Allow 64‑bit counters.Note: Orion fully supports the use of 64-bit counters; however, these high capacity counters can exhibit erratic behavior depending on manufacturer implementation. If you notice peculiar results when using these counters, use the Node Details view to disable the use of 64-bit counters for the device and contact the hardware manufacturer.
If all the above are correctly set ,I would recommend to open a support ticket to look into this further.
For that part of the setup, use port 443 and a username and password for the UCS System. That worked for me.
Hi there,
We also needs to monitor Cisco UCS C210 M2. I don´t use Ldap Authentication but the login test has fail.
Now, how can resolve this?
Thanks for any response.
