Orion Module Engine Problem

We have a problem on Orion NPM v9.5 of our customer Ministry of Justice in Turkey.

When we run Orion NPM, it starts and then it stops. We checked Orion Module Engine in Administrative Tools. It runs and then it stops. Then, again, it runs and stops. It is not stable.

We get the following message;

On the other hand, we didn’t create a new database and used the existing database. When we get into System Manager, we can’t see the all data consists of routers. We can only see the router data partially.

Can you please advise what we should do asap ?

Two quick things to check is that the NetTcpPortSharing service's start type is marked as OnDemand and that the windows' firewall allows module engine to listen on its ports.

I had a similar issue and this was the resolve:

Symptom: No chart data and solarwinds Orion Module Engine keeps restarting

Resolution:

shutdown all services on both polling engines accept for netperfmon and iis website

On the main NPM - Rename this file to jobengine35.sdf.old

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SolarWinds\JobEngine\Data\jobengine35.sdf

make a copy of JobEngine35 - Blank.sdf and rename to jobengine35.sdf

change the file properties on jobengine35.sdf to be not read only

restart all services
