Scheduled Discovery Question

Hello,

I appologize if this has been covered before, but I haven't been able to find the answer searching.

We've been setting up some scheduled network discoveries and running into some strange things. We have the discovery set to run every 72 hours and it keeps finding the same devices over and over again but the devices are already in the system. When I try to add them, it skips them. I looked and they are on a different poller than the one doing the scan. Is that the reason I'm still seeing them? (Different pollers.)

I haven't done any more work on it. I'm thinking that my assumption is correct and I was hoping someone could verify it.

After we added our second polling engine we have the same problem with all of our discoveries. We do all of our discoveries from the main poller. All of the nodes that have been moved to the 2nd polling engine now show up as new devices in the discovery window. This is ridiculous and much to difficult to manage when we have 1000s of devices to manage.
