Create maintenance window?

Is there a way to create a regular maintenance window for devices so that they are unmanaged/alerts suppressed during a regular period?

I know that one option is the unmanage utility to create a job and schedule it, but I was wondering if there was a way to do it via the web-ui, perhaps based on a property.

The idea is to have a regular window for severs so I can schedule updates in SCCM.

I've not found a way to do this yet, but it would be worth submitting a feature request for it. I'd vote for it.

When you talk about a maintenance window, you are really just talking about suppressing alerts.

Starting in NPM 11.5 with web-based alerting, you can set up comprehensive schedules either for the alert or an action. that means that if your maint window is the 3rd Sunday of the month, you can set alerts which must obey that window (because obviously some don't) to not-trigger during that period.

IF... on the other hand, the maint window is irregular, then the other way to get around it is to use something like the "mute" custom property that I talk about elsewhere on Thwack, and then use the Orion SDK to create your own script to update nodes at the start/stop of the window.

But not really. We talk about a maintenance window as a time period that doesn't count against the availability statistics, which are typically the basis for SLAs. Suppressing the alerts is nice, but we need a way to schedule a window where when the node is offline it doesn't count against the uptime because pings went unanswered.

yep looking for this as well, the closest I can find is scheduled unmanaged and reman age which doesn't help
