I am currently trying to install the Orion Management pack v1.1 on the SCOM RMS with the CU5 update.
The RMS server has no internet connection.
The install gets to the point where it is starting the orionscom.exe service and after several minutes of trying fails with the following error:
Service ‘Orion MP Service’ (OrionSCOM.exe) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.
Permissions are correct. The .msi is ran under an elevated command prompt.
I have added the following entries to my host file:
wpad
CRL.THAWTE.com
UAC has been disabled on this server
I have tried to install logging on as local admin
My Server environment is Server 2008 SP2 64bit
My SCOM environment is SCOM 2007 R2 with CU5 installed.
I have NPM 10.0 and NCM 6.0 running on a separate server that is also a SCOM management server.
All DB's are on a separate dedicated SQL Server
Is there a way of manually installing this service and management pack from the extracted files on the .msi installer?
Has anybody managed to install this MP on a SCOM server with the CU5 update installed?
