Defining Device Types?

Is it possible in Orion to create your own device types or have the device type determined by something that you set in a custom property?

I would like to be able to group my devices in a way that is recognized by the "Views By Device Type" so that I can then create custom views for specific devices that I have grouped together.

Is this possible?
