LAN Report
cmccarter
First off, I must admit I'm not sql savy. I'm trying to generate a report showing my historic LAN traffic for the past 6-12 months. I've really no idea where to begin. Can someone point me in the right starting direction.

The built in Report Writer is quite user friendly.
As far a "LAN" report, that is somewhat ambiguous, so it's hard to give you any specifics.
As a start you could create a report based on all the uplinks between your LAN switches.
To make it easier to specify the interfaces to be used in the report, you will want to open up the custom property editor (CPE) & select "Interfaces".
Create a custom property for specifiying the interfaces you want to use in this report(call it "reports" or something similar).
Now enter a description in this property that will be used to select the interfaces you want to report on (call it "LAN report").
Now when you go into the report writer you can create a filter based on this description field. Basically it will be something like "Show me any interfaces with the custom interface property Reports which are equal to LAN report.
Check the on-line dox, as I believe they have a very good rundown on how to do this.
