Application monitoring

Question

I just learned the the application monitoring add in pack does not have the ability to send an alert via orion....Does anyone have a work around for this ...Grrrr

Thanks for the info but I have a deliverable next month and it looks like App monitor is not going to do it for me. What is the return policy? BTW It would have been nice to see this reporting and alert compatibility issue disclosed on the front page of the documentation.quote:Originally posted by Don Yonce

The Management Packs (Application Monitor is a Management Pack) were designed for the Orion V8 release. But, since the Application Monitor and Wireless Networks Management Packs were completed early, we decided to go ahead and release them as add-ons to Orion V7. The problem with releasing them early is they have no support for Alerts and Reports.

The Orion V8 Alert Engine is in development right now. We also plan to release the V8 Alert Engine as an add-on to Orion V7. You should see a pre-release for the new Alert Engine with support for Application Monitor in the next couple months.
