Question on NPM scheduled discovery - ignore interfaces automatically?

tIs there a way in NPM scheduled discovery to automatically ignore wan mini port interfaces?

This was not an issue prior to 2008 servers but now every server that is scanned and discovered in the scheduled discovery it finds up to 18 interfaces and we only monitor the actively connected interfaces so all the other interfaces on the server I have to manually go through and add to the ignore list.

If I don't add them to the ignore list than every day when my discovery runs agains the subnets I have setup it finds them and shows up as changed for the servers it finds these on.

I would like to ignore interfaces and floppy drives and cd drives that are discovered and be able to check something once and have it done for all nodes.

it has to do with the way microsoft creates these virtual interfaces.  they are given a different uuid everytime the system boots and therefore seen as a new interface by NPM.  So you are not alone with htis issue.  I also see them daily on the scans.
