system monitoring

Hi there,

I used Orion previously, but the functionality wasn't there before. I am looking for a new NMS for a customer's site that I am working at currently. What I am after is the ability to set a device into maintenance mode via an event be it SNMP or Event Log or Syslog. This way I can get the monitoring system doing application level monitoring, as opposed to just ping and TCP port testing. I was hoping for something a little more intelligent than that.

Is this available in Orion yet? Or is this going to be available in a released version in the short term?
