Load balancing between pollers

So I am getting ready to implement Solarwinds at my new employer.  We have approximately 11000 elements and I have an additional poller license to utilize.  I'm wondering what is best practice.  Should I place the larger load on the poller only server? 

Since the primary handles alerting, the web front end, and various other aspects I was planning on splitting the load 35/65 with the majority going on the additional polling engine.

I'd advise a to load it to 45/55 and then review.

Check the Polls Per Second Monitoring tool: don't have these set too high. Slightly higher than recommended settings here is fine. Setting these settings too high will cause problems with polling.

On the SQL side, have you seen the documentation on this.
