LWAP details in NPM from controller showing NULL ModelName?

I have 6 cisco WLC's and 000's of LWAP APs.

In the table dbo.NPM_NV_WL_APS i can correctly see all the APs, but only 16 of them have ModelName and Type populated all the 000's of other just have Null.

Now it is not just one controller as there are a few APs of the 16 from all 6, so there is no pattern.

Is this a known issue? is anyone else looking at AP inventory and audit via NPM?

Hi,

we should display all if SNMP protocol is enabled. It would be helpful to know models that showing as unknown and even better, send me SNMP walk so we may very quickly validate if OIDs contain the information we need.

I logged a support call in the end, it seems it is no longer supported in NPM, so the few i had showing were from an earlier ver of NPM.

I think checked to see if NCM was bringing this info back in inventory scans, got some outstanding wueries re this - the MIBs required are not yet supported in NCM - as belowm from case#506455

Dev have advised, that NCM does not support "AIRESPACE-WIRELESS-MIB" mib

This would be a feature request.

I have submitted this feature request to our development team. They will consider the request, and decide whether it
will be implemented.
