Help creating alert on proxy counter

Hey everyone, we have a few web proxies in our environment, and one of the common key health stats is a counter named "cacheTotalRespTimeNow".

I'm trying to setup a critical alert if this counter registers a value of more than 500,000, but I'm having a heck of a time figuring out how to do that.

Here's a view element showing the counter in question.  Can anyone point me in the right direction here?

Edit: Oh and to clarify, I've tried just browsing for the field in the "Browse all fields" option, but the name doesn't appear anywhere in the list.

Perhaps I just answered my own question.

I found the Custom Poller Thresholds configuration settings under the admin view.  I set the thresholds for this counter ridiculously-low, and I'm monitoring for results.

Is this the correct way to go about this?  What if I wanted some of my proxies set at one level and others set to a different threshold? (Just curious)
