Network Performance Monitor (NPM)
Non-SNMP devices
jneiberger
We have a lot of non-SNMP devices that we'd need to monitor via ICMP. Does Orion care if a device cannot support SNMP? Can it do simply ICMP polling on non-SNMP devices?
Thanks,
John

Yes.
My company uses this functionality to monitor Internet latency and for connectivity for devices behind firewalls that block SNMP.

Yes.
When adding a node just put a tick in the box for 'node does not support SNMP' and it'll just monitor response time and packet loss.
