How do you group alerts?

We have several sites, each of which has several network devices, each of which has several monitored interfaces. The problems is that if Site A goes down, I get 15+ alerts when it goes down and another 15+ when it comes up. Since the MPLS connection is down, I get alerts for each switch and each monitored interface behind that MPLS router. I was told by someone that in the latest version of Orion, you could group devises in a way that if the gateway device went down, it would only page you once. Was this correct? If so, how do I do it and if not, does anyone have a suggested workaround?

Thank you for the link. That is a little easier than the ways that I had seen in other posts. But I was told by someone that the latest version of Orion (I just upgraded again to 8.5) would have a more intuitive way to doing alert grouping based on object grouping. My problem is that, if I'm reading that post correctly, I have to create 2 customer properties for every node (175x2) and 2 seperate alerts for each site (30x2). I was expecting to have to do a CP for each site to add a location regardless (SNMP location isn't always identical), but this is becoming a pretty time-consuming task. Has anyone heard of alert grouping coming down the pipe in an out-of-the-box form?
