Can you restrict access to maps in Network Atlas?

Hello,

Is there a way to limit what maps can be seen in Network Atlas?

My IP Address Range limitations are working in that only Orion Objects within the IP Ranges can be seen.

However, every single map can be viewed or modified. Anyway to control what maps certain users are able to view or modify?

If you right click on the maps in Network Atlas and go to map properties I believe it is you can select whether or not to enforce account limitations on the map or not. You will need to do this for each map you want to enforce this on.

Hello Brandon,

When i right click on a map in Atlas, all i get is Open, Delete, and Rename.

Open the map first, then right click on the map and choose "Properties". Once in there you will see an option called "Override Account Limitations for this map". If you select "Remove Nodes that users don't have permissions to view" it will do exactly that; however, users will still be able to get to and see the map itself.

Keep in mind that, regardless of which option you choose, the user will still not be able to drill into the details of any node that they are restricted from seeing. This setting only allows the admin to determine if restricted nodes are visible on the map.

Yes, i found it, but it is kind of "hokey".

These are my findings...

I give a user account an ip address limitation and manage node rights.

He can see all the maps, however when he clicks on a map where i've "removed nodes that users dont have permissions to view", the map comes up without any of the nodes visible. Here's the hokey part: the user can right click on the map and change it back to "allow all users" , save it, close and reopen the map, and see everything again and proceed to make changes.

Is it supposed to be like that?

To reiterate, this is what i am trying to do.

Restrict a user to only be able to modify maps that he is responsible for. I do not want him to be able to see or make changes to maps that do not pertain to his location.
