How can I alert on all "Critical" nodes?

I'm currently moving away from SCOM in favor of SolarWinds but I have an issue. I can't seem to find a way to setup an alert for any of my nodes that goes into a critical status. Is this possible and if so how do I set it up? I do not have the Alert Central module.

Are familiar with Advance Alert Manager or creating web console alert creation ?

You first step would to be learn these areas and you will see how it all snaps into place.
