Feature Request

Hi, I would like to have the ability to set dependancies on alerts, ie, one interface is down but the interface on another backup router is up so send an email telling me they are on backup.

You should be able to do this with the alert macros. In the email that you send stating the primary is down, have it query the backup interface and include that status.

One thing I did which worked out very well, was to create two alerts for backup-only routers, either of which would trip if the data rate exceeded 10kbps, and reset at less than 7.5kbps.

This feature was implemented in Version 6.3
It is called "Alert Suppression"
