how to create an alarm using two conditions ??

I need to create an alarm that sends an email when 2 nodes are up.

Example:

node A and node B has top status ==> send email

please put screens as they do ...

You should be able to do this with a couple condition groups.

Add two condition groups - they will automatically be set to ALL.
Under the first condition group, put the following two simple conditions: Node > Caption is equal to NodeA, and Node > Status is equal to UP.
Under the second condition group, put the following two simple conditions: Node > Caption is equal to NodeB, and Node > Status is equal to UP.

Then your email trigger action will go off when *both* of those hosts are up.

Has anyone ever been able to make this actually work (ie. have you TESTED it?)

I was just trying to do the same over here and failed. And I've tried all the strategies suggested in the thread.

You know it doesn't, should have tested before I replied. We have this problem with alert suppression and, I hate getting old, I wrote this post....

May have a bearing on why but not a solution.
