Need some help with setting up alerts for AP's

I am trying to set up an advanced alert for our wireless AP's. Do I need to add each AP as a node or can this be done through the wireless controller node that is already being monitored?

If we're polling WLC - we have out-of-the-box ThinAP alert that could be used. You could also monitor each AP directly if that were desirable.

What manufacturer? Normally its monitored through the controller.

The out of the box thin-AP alerts don't work with Aruba Controllers when you have backup controllers.

The wireless controller support is completely broken for Aruba when you have backup controllers configured for your APs.
