I have setup a Parent map and linked a child map to it. When an interface on a switch goes down you don't get notified on the parent map only when the hole node goes down. Anyone have a work around?
good deal. Once you get one in place, it isn't too bad to replicate and re-map objects.
admin -> web console settings -> Status Rollup Mode
check help if questions about what selection does what.
I've already tried this setting and it's not working. Any other ideas?
hm, that should have worked - my understanding. Another thing to try is "show child status" on the map to child object, but that will just show a little dot in bottom right corner.
I would open a ticket. Please post the results.
It works if the whole node goes down but not just a port. I opened a ticket and it looks like it's not supported which seems like a pretty common request.
