Alert notifications stopped

All,

In an effort to improve performance, I recently upgraded from SQL 2005 Express to a full version of SQL 2005. Since that time, I see alerts on the web page, but I stopped getting e-mail notifications. I reviewed the logs and tested my alerts (which didn't change), and everything appears to be communicating with the new DB properly. Any ideas where to start troubleshooting deeper?

Environment:

Server1 = Orion primary server with NPM, NCM, APM, NTA, IPAM

Server2 = Orion second poller

Server3 = SQL 2005

Actually, thanks to tech support, I came to realize my exchange admins decommissioned the mailserver I was pointing too. So, I had to change all my adv. alerts to point to the new exchange server and imagine my surprise when the darn thing started working again.
