CustomPollerAssignment Table

I'm creating some custom reports so that we can easily determine which devices have which custom pollers assigned (and determine if our custom pollers are missing off common device types).

I'm having a problem however, in that the NodeID field used in the CustomPollerAssignment table doesn't correlate to the NodeID utilised in the Nodes table (making the table joins a little difficult).

Does anyone know what I can use as the field correlator here?

NodeID and InterfaceID in CustomPollerAssignments maps to NodeID from Nodes and InterfaceID from Interfaces respectively.

Is it possible you have some orphaned Assignments(nodes have been deleted but the assignment is still around)?

It probably just means I made a mistake in the SQL for the join...

Good to know that they should map - I'll have another go at this in the morning and hopefully get it right this time!

There may be a better way to do this but I would probably use two separate queries/reports for this. One for node assignments and one for interface assignments. Here is the SQL that will produce a node assignment report.

select custompollers.uniquename as CustomPollerName, Nodes.Caption as NodeName, CustomPollers.OID, CustomPollers.MIB from custompollers
join custompollerassignment
on custompollers.pollerid = custompollerassignment.pollerid
join nodes
on custompollerassignment.nodeid = nodes.nodeid
order by CustomPollerName, NodeName

And here is the SQL for the interface assignment report.

select custompollers.uniquename as CustomPollerName, Nodes.Caption as NodeName, Interfaces.caption as InterfaceName, CustomPollers.OID, CustomPollers.MIB from custompollers
join custompollerassignment
on custompollers.pollerid = custompollerassignment.pollerid
join interfaces
on custompollerassignment.interfaceid = interfaces.interfaceid
join nodes
on interfaces.nodeid = nodes.nodeid
