First off, please excuse my lack of knowledge, as I am just a co-op student who has only been exposed to SolarWinds for a few weeks now.
I am in the process of organizing a fairly extensive amount of assets (nodes?).
After completing a network discovery, I have a large amount of unknown nodes that I have to manually organize. There are 3 custom fields (within "Edit Properties") that I have to add information for - Zone, Category and Location. Zone and Category seem to take no problem, however the last field, Location, won't seem to permanently save. There are probably 50 - 100 new values that I have to add to the drop down and after a certain amount of time the new values I have added to the drop down disappear and the Location column seems to clear itself out off the information I have added. I have done them twice now and have had the changes revert on me and it seems to only save A - K and "deletes" everything else that I have done.
Hopefully I've explained the problem clearly enough. Any help on where to start on this is appreciated.
