Adding custom properties to the web "add node" screen.

Hi,

I'm just wondering how to add more custom property boxes to this screen. For the life of me I can't work it out!

I've added a screenshot of my current list of custom properties. I have added a new custom property (model) in the back end, and populated it, but I'd like to present this on the web for our guys to populate as they go.

Following my last post, I believe I have found the fix:-

Go onto the web server, open custom property editor and select the notorious "update report schemas" button and run that.

All propery fields are now displayed!

Hi,

The Custom Property Editor gives you the ability to add more Items.

Start > All Programs > Solarwinds Orion > Grouping and Access Control > Custom Property Editor.

Thanks for the response, but I dont have an issue with creating another custom property (as you posted), but having that custom property appear on the web under the "add node" process.

You can see from my screenshot that i have several fields on, but I also have another custom property called "model", which I'd like to have appear on the "add node" page.

Would it be possible to try removing it and re-adding that custom field?

Thanks Brandon - I dont seem to be having any joy with that either...

I haven't deleted that particular property as I've just had a couple of people populate around 3000 fields.

What I have done is create another custom property, which hasn't appeared either.

However, if I delete an existing property (fortunately I had a legacy field to lose) it does disappear from the add node screen.

As a matter of info, I have 3 pollers, and two seperate web servers, all running at 9.1.3.

Thinking logically, i would expect to have to do something after I create a custom property to actually publish this to the web. A dialogue appears talking about updating, but doesn't seem to do anything.
