Disable certain VMWARE Hardware Monitors?

Is there a way to disable certain Vmware hardware monitors on PC hardware? I have some Supermicro IPMI cards that present a large number of datapoints to NPM, unfortunately some of these are not used by the hardware as we have it configured (specifically certain fans that are not connected). I don't see a way to select which hardware is being monitored and which is being ignored.

ser, can you be more specific about what you are trying to do and possibly include a screenshot? Are you concerned about VMware API calls we are making or just a general question about VMware configuration?

I have several vmware nodes showing up with hardware faults because of the way the supermicro chassis interfaces with the motherboard. For example: not all the fan connectors are used. See the attached screenshot.
