Upgrade Orion 8.0 to 8.5.1

We are trying to upgrade our Orion server, but we are having a lot of problems with the database migration (MSDE 2000 to SQL EXPRESS 2005). Is there a process to succesfully upgrade it? or Do I need to upgrate from one version to another (8.0 to 8.1, 8.1 to 8.5 and 8.5 to 8.5.1)?. We thought that the problems is migrate the database (compatibility).

You should be able upgrade from 8.0 to 8.5.1- What is the specific error you are having?

Database Compatibility.....When I ran the wizard it got me a message that said Orion 8.5 does not support MSDE 2000 database.

Correct, MSDE is not supported with 8.5 - The following SQL Server versions are supported:

SQL Server 2000 SP4 Standard, or Enterprise
SQL Server 2005 Express, Standard, or Enterprise

You can download SQL Express with a 4GB limit for free- from your portal of MS.

Right we know that, this is why we need a process(steps) to migrate from SLQ 200 to SQL 2005.
