Virtualization Summary - Nodes listed by IP

Am I missing something here? I just imported a bunch of my ESXi hosts into the NPM module and set them to poll with VMware, but the nodes are only displaying by IP in the VMware Assets Summary. On the NPM side of things they are displaying by name. Anybody got something for me on this?

In Virtualization Summary you should see host name of ESX server. This host name Orion gets from vCenter via VMware API and it corresponds to the name of host which can be seen in VMware's vSpehere client.

Got this resolved. If anybody is having issues with this disable 'VMware Polling' on your vCenter box > Submit the change > edit it again and enable polling. After doing this all my ESXi boxes started pulling in by name.

Thought I had it resolved but it only pulls in the hostname when I poll the ESXi boxes directly which disabling and re-enabling polling on the vCenter box will change that over.

This to me seems like a DNS issue with resolving your IP addresses on the boxes in question. Do you have pointer records created for those public IP's on your internal DNS servers you are using in SW?

So I am working in a two domain setup where the domains don't trust each other at all. The ESXi hosts in question are not on the same domain as the Solarwinds server. But I don't have any issues with this as long as I am not polling from the vCenter server. If I hit them directly they update their names fine.

I confirmed this is true per my environments. Can this be submitted as a feature request to manually change the name?
