Avail reports for interfaces.

I am trying to create an Availability report for a specific interface on a Cisco router to get its uptime. I have an availability report for it's remote created by using the IP address, but because of alternate routes the report is inaccurate. In the report maker I can't get the option to monitor an interface (by using the interface ID like in a interface current traffic report) when I select an Availability type report.
Any help would be appreciated.
