Monitoring status of webpage?

Hello,

We currently use IP Sentry to monitor a number of webpages. We do this be having it send a request to the page and looking for a string in the HTML sent back. If that string is not there someone is paged.

I was wondering if there is any way of doing this in NPM at all.

From what i've seen so far poking around i'm pretty sure it isn't but I just thought I'd check with the community to make sure.
