Did you guys ever find a solution for this? We have this same issue with Notes and embedded files.
Is this the issue you are having in Notes?
PDF would be excellent. While I despise the bloated PDF format, it's certainly better than HTML in Outlook. If hyperlinks can be embedded, this would also work around the HIGHLY annoying Outlook behavior of modifying the URL in the emails sent from the Report Scheduler.
Hey Bleearg,
I am able to receive reports with embedded links in Outlook 2003.Is this something that is broken in Outlook 2k7?
No....I actually don't even get to see the attachment. Notes does not allow embedded docs at all. It comes to me as just a blank email. I have tested the same report sending to an exchange server I work with, and it comes thru just fine. I have also confirmed the issue with IBM and Lotus Notes and embedded docs.
Wouldn't a PDF report be great?Come SW crew get with it and give us some options. I hope this and the recent breaking of Outlook 2007 helps make you guys realize that how you're currently handeling email reports has a lot of room for improvements. As it stands right now since we're running Outlook 2007 we can't view any of the reports since Microsoft switch from the IE HTML engine to Word which breaks everything Orion sends out..Nice eh?HELP!-Steve
Steve,
Can you give me steps to reproduce? And a screenshot of what you see? We tried to reproduce, and it looked fine in our Outlook 2007, which makes me think we're not doing what you're doing.

So are we looking to fix this or not I am using Lotus notes and get this at the end of my report...
Hopefully someone can provide some assistance here, as I am running out of options. I am trying to send out monthly reporting of availability using the Report Scheduler. Unfortunately, we are using Lotus Notes and the embedded reports which are generated through the report scheduler have formating issues when viewed through Notes. My first thought was trying to add this report as an attachment to the automated e-mail or use an embedded hyperlink to the report in the e-mail. Does anyone know if this is possible or have a solution to this issue?
Hi
Did anyone ever find a solution for this issue? We use Notes and I have been experiencing the issues mentioned above .ie no graphs just formatting info from the web page. It renders the report sceduler for us almost completely useless and it would have been a major feature that we would have utilised.
I work for a fairly large company that is currently on the path for further ISO certification so our managers were nearly wetting themselves when they were told about the report scheduler. But now we have to go back and tell them the current situation.
Does anyone know if this has been fixed in the new Version 9 of Orion?
