Any point in monitoring the following Cisco interfaces?

Friends,

Any point in monitoring the following Cisco interfaces?  They're included when you use the "Select All Active Interfaces" button as part of the "List Resources" page on a Catalyst 6500.  We're considering taking the time to go in and uncheck them as we've never seemed to derive any benefit to having them monitored to date, but perhaps there's a situation where one of you have found them useful.  Even the unrouted VLAN elements never seem to show any percent utilization or errors.  Thoughts?

• EOBC
• Null0
• CPP (Control Plane)
• The unrouted VLAN interfaces

I would say no for EOBC, Null0 and Unrouted VLANs. You may want to monitor CPP for your large chassis's (mostly would apply to ISPs) for a period of time to see if there is anything potentially affecting the control plane. We created a custom poller to monitor the backplane on our 6500's - we find this more beneficial than selecting CPP from List Resources.
