removed interfaces showing critical alert

Hi Team,

I have few nodes where interfaces have been removed from manage node, but these interfaces are visible in list resources and also showing alert condition on node details page.

I feel it is a database related issue. Please help us to mitigate it. NPM 12.2, NCM 7.7

How often is the condition evaluated by the Alert Manager? Also, what is the Reset Condition defined for the alert that's triggered? If nothing else, you can try disabling the alert in the Alert Manager and re-enable it. If the alert persists still, then there's still some reference to that interface in the database. Have you waited at least 24 hours for database maintenance to run or run Database Maintenance manually?

Have you tried to untick in list resources then click save. do a list resource again but make sure it’s not the cached one and do a fresh list resource

Yes, I did. The interface is not ticked, I tried to change the polling engine, rediscovered and re polled many times.

while I see it in list resource, When I see it from manage node, it is not visible in interface drop down.

But still showing critical status in node details page.

The interfaces have been removed via this solution some time back. But somehow these removed interfaces are still showing up in list resource page, and also in node details page.

We are not getting alert. We are getting Critical signal on node details page, red circle on hardware sensors.

I feel I need to run the database maintenance manually and to look for any issues.

Are the interfaces coming back in via discovery job that needs to be modified?

No.

These interfaces were initially added in monitoring. Later we did admin down from router console, and unticked from list resources. Still they were showing critical signal, red circles on hardware sensors, so we removed them from manage nodes, page.

I feel in database the entries have not been removed properly, so it is showing at one place and not on another.
