Import Other Devices SNMP MIB OID?

Question

NPM is based on SNMP to monitor the devices.   If a device (e.g. Rightfax) installed in a Windows Server, what I need to ensure those devices will be montiored by Solarwinds NPM?

Firstly, should need to make sure that the server will open those device OID to be sent over SNMP?

Secondly, how I should ensure that Solarwinds NPM will have corresponding MIB?

I am walking the MIB from ORION & Whats UP Gold.

This issue is that the OIDs do not become "active" until you actually register the SNMP Alerting Module within RighthFax. "They get loaded" (installed), but do not actually interact with RightFax until the Module is enabled. That is why I am getting "unsupported OID".

This is just another company that likes to squeeze their customers for more money with all the little add ons that they provide and because of this, I can't fully monitor the RightFax server.

Hey justty--

Are you browsing the SW MIB or walking the MIB on your device? If you MIBwalk your device, it should display the OID in its entirity.
