How do I do this? NPM 11.5.2.
I want to have a basic guest type account that once it logs in, it sees a high level network overview.
Thanks,
lbrowne
Here goes:
1. Click on "Add New View" on the Main Settings & Administration page.
2. Name the view and be sure the Type of View is "Summary".
3. Click the black "X" to delete one of the columns on the Customize page. Then, click the green "+" to add a resource.
4. Type the word "map" in the Search box and hit Enter.
5. Select the Map resource, then click on "Add Selected Resources" at the bottom of the window.
6. Click "Preview" to see the view.
7. Click the "Edit" button inside the map resource.
8. Select the desired map from the list. Change the zoom level if desired.Click "Submit".
9. If you want to resize the column width, click to the right edge of the map and drag right or left.
10. Close the Preview tab, then click Done to save the view.
Create a summary view with just the network map resource on it. Edit the resource to select the desired map. Then edit the User account and set that view to be their home page.
If it is really a guest account you will probably also want to set all account privileges to NO and set all details views to None. Just a thought.
I got all the "NOs" already set. Just couldn't figure out where to set it to go into a map directly. I'll try what you said.
Yeah, I'm going to need a bit more specific steps on creating the summary view and then adding just that map resource on it.
Let me know if it solves the problem.
Might want to consider use of DirectLink account @lbrowne.
See 'Using the DirectLink Account' in Orion NPM Administrator Guide.
This did the trick - thank you very much.
