duplex setting in NPM

Question

I was able to bring up interface settings status in Hardware details of the Cisco switch/router that we poll but it doesn't show duplex settings, Please tell me there's a way that NPM can do this and that I don't have to get some kind of a Cisco poller UnDP or whatever else to get this info???

Thanks for the config options Randy.I tried both of the UnDP configs above, but all I get are tables with data that don't make sense (e.g. "2.4" on the dot3StatsDuplexStatus - Universal Device Poller Summary Chart) or nothing at all (the Alias chart).

Any ideas?

Unfortunately you will need to create a UnDP to accomplish this.

Open Orion Universal Device Poller from NPM and click "New Universal Device Poller"

Use the following values below.

* OID: 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.7.2.1.19
* Name: dot3StatsDuplexStatus
* Type: Raw Value
* Format: None
* Get Type: GET
* Polling Type: Interface

Once you have created the UnDP, assign it to the interfaces you wish to monitor.

Then, from your Device Details view, click "Customize Page" to the right and add "Tabular Universal Device Poller" to your view.

I should note that I also created a UnDP to poll the interface alias which is poller from which labels are taken.

This makes the resource easier to read.
