Automatic Cisco Interface Name Changes

Question

On several of our Cisco devices we see several interface name changes events per day where the name change is only slight or even not at all.  This is not due to anything we are dong on the device.  I opened a ticket on this issue a while back (Case #108251) and I was told that it was a bug that was isolated and set for resolution in a future release.

We are on the most current version and we still see this problem.

I am curious what the status of this problem is?

i've been seeing this also. NPM 9.5.1

but it is on Cisco 72xx routers with T1s.

I am still on NPM9.5 SP2 and don't notice this.  I would assume this is some kind of bug then when rediscovery occurs and NPM checks for re-enumeration of the interfaces.
