Reports showing rising usage

Hello,

We currently have Orion 8.1 running monitoring several servers and network devices. We have got various custom MIB pollers and are soon going to add NetFlow & Application Monitoring. We are loving it.

One of the things we would like to do is the following:

We have got a server whose C: Drive is showing a steady increase in usage (somehting is filling the drive). Now, by itself it might only trigger an alert when it reaches 95% or so (when the alert kicks in that was generically set-up for hard disks).

Would there be a report that can show us only those counters that have for the past X number of time periods periods that have increased in value every time. Time periods could be days, hours or minutes. This way a steadily increasing hard disk volume usage can be picked up nice and early without raising an alarm.

I guess another way to look at this is to check disk volumes and predicting when they will fill up competely. Tha tway a report can be generated with predicted failure dates and budgets can be prepared to replce/renew/upgrade devices.

Has anyone done this before - or is this even possible?

Never tried it, but off the top of my head, have you tried using alert suppression/advanced alerts?  No idea if it can do it, but??
