WAN Miniport Filter

We have 2008 servers that are scheduled to reboot nightly. Additionally we have a discovery job setup to scan their subnet to find new nodes and allow us to import them.

Problem, every time a 2008 server reboots I get 6 new network interfaces related to WAN miniport. These are useless interfaces that produce no meaningful data. Is there a way to ignore them automatically?

Have you tried adding to discovery ignore list.

We have the same issue. The miniport is created with a random number each time, so technically it's a new interface. It would be nice if we could add wildcard exclusions to the discovery.

Yes, everytime the system reboots it gets added. As already answered the snmp ID is random every reboot so solarwinds is seeing it as a new series of interfaces.
