server icmp poll to wmi polling. how to select resoures to monitor in bulk nodes?

hi all,

during last time. my team doing discovery using icmp method. now team are planning to change the polling method using wmi. for all the server. are there any way that I able to choose resources to be monitor for all the server in 1 time? or I need to run back network discovery? please advice?

Discoveries always only add to things, for example if you uncheck an interface that you were already monitoring then it would not get rid of it, since the discovery can only add new pollers and objects

Yes you will want to run a discovery if you want to make bulk changes like that

hi meverrum,

this is happening when i do discovery.

1. able to add volumes

2. able to add disk

but cpu & memory is not automatic selected to all nodes. please advice is there is something missing from my setting?

how to make the 1st checkbox is selected during diascovery?

If it isn't adding them (normally it does so I'm a bit surprised) then you can go to settings > manage pollers > search for cpu & memory, check the box and hit assign. Then I'd just select all the nodes and enable it.

if it is a new discovery it should automatically add the rss. but user have change the method of polling to wmi and did network discovery again. i think because of it this is happening.

and i have tried select multiple node and there is no way to select manage resources to multiple node. only able to change polling method

Thats why you want to go to manage pollers as I described, there is a setting there to flip the cpu poller on for multiple nodes at once.
