How to Create or Post a Poll

A recent job change and different Solarwinds environment presented me with a possible idea for a poll. However, it seems that I can't actually post a poll anywhere. All I see are messages indicated that I don't have access to post a poll in the specific forum or that the particular forum doesn't accept that type of posting. I have looked at quite a few forums, and they all pretty much show the same way for me. I know there has to be someplace in the community to do so, because there is actually a badge for it, but I can't see where, leading me to believe that some type of access has to be granted to do so. What would it take for me to be able to post a poll?

My poll is with regard to the primary Orion Summary Home page and how it is organized. Please let me know when possible. Thanks-

Hi ,

You can create your poll in "user polls". We temporarily disabled this function in the group but it has been enabled again.

Up at the top next to your activity, communications, and actions buttons is a [Create] button.

If you click that and then select polls, then you can browse possible locations for your poll.

I'm not entirely sure why, but most of the options were disabled for me, including the most obvious place to post a poll to me which would be "User Polls"... Go figure.

I just posted my "poll" in the form of a question when I realized that the forum I spend most of my time in was disabled as an option.

Thanks I am seeing the same thing, which is what I was wondering about. I will probably go the question route as well since most of the locations are locked out. I guess this functionality is for higher tiered contributors to the community.
