Where do we begin troubleshooting Network Atlas failing to run after upgrading NPM to v10.1 and adding Net Flow? Atlas ran fine a few weeks ago, but since then we've upgraded NPM and added in the Net Flow module, and I'm not certain which one is causing the problem for Atlas.
If you've experienced Atlas problem and found a solution, please write and let me know what you did to get it going again.
When I start Network Atlas, it prompts for credentials normally, and quickly goes through the various steps once the credentials are entered:
(Connecting, Syncrhonizing, Reading Maps, Evaluating, Preparing UI). Right after "Preparing UI" is when it hangs/dies.
The error message then shows: "Network Atlas has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Please contact SolarWinds support about this problem.
After Network Atlas fails to run, if I try to start it again it tells me it's already running, and I should close it down first before trying to start it again.
The Window server then fires up its Error Notification process and sends a message to Microsoft about errors its seen. Specifically:
SolarWinds.JobEngineService.v2 encountered a problem and needed to close.
