Event Log Filling Up

I have several switches logging several hundred thousand of the below events. This event logs multiple times per minute. How do I stop this? I have tried re-monitoring the interfaces to make this stop as well, but it keeps on going...

Interface Polling stopped. Could not remap interface. Check ifDescription change.

Right now, it's the only answer. Their engine does not have anything to stop certain things from polling. According to my account exec, this has been submitted to PM for a feature request.

Have you upgraded lately, added new modules or done anything differently that might cause this?

I am having the same issue, after un-installing the UDT trial.

Yeah, we upgraded from 10.0 to 10.1.3. I just setup a job to run every 30 seconds to delete rows where the rows contain anything like that line mentioned above. Seems like the best thing to do right now. We're getting several hundred per minute otherwise, and the event logs are impossible to work with.

Do you also have UDT installed? Trying to find some common traits between installs. Did you open a support ticket?

UDT? Not sure what that is, so probably not. I talked to a sales engineer, and they said to totally delete polling from the SQL database, but upon further discussion, we don't really want to do that.

I think we fixed it for now...

Moderator, I do not see that this is a verified answer. This just deletes the alerts, and masks the problem rather than fixing it.
