If I change a device name on the device, how do I get it to update in NPM? I shouldn't have to delete the node and readd it, and when I click on the node and select "rediscover" it does not do anything.
not the cleanest, but if you edit the node and delete the name, leaving the field blank, next rediscovery should get it.
I had the same problem, tried what you suggested and it worked even without a rediscovery. The questions is, why does this work? What is actually causing this problem? Is it a bug in Orion 10.10.1?

I think it fills that column when originally discovered or if empty (assumes device name wont change, I presume).
Hmm, I just noticed this in the past few days with 10.1.x for Interface names. I thought the interface names used to be picked up by NPM dynamically without having to clear and rediscover.
So, how can I refresh, in NPM, all of my Interface names rather than having to edit each one-by-one?
Why wouldn't there be an option to update dynamic or static for the hostname? I totally agree that this is a valuable lost function.
